Meet Ecliptic Launcher
A new name and planet icon for the launcher, with your existing games, worlds and accounts coming along.
Eclipse Launcher is becoming Ecliptic Launcher. We have a new name, a ringed-planet icon and a home at eclipticmc.online.
A familiar launcher, a new identity
The launcher keeps its Minecraft scenes and layout, with a softer iris accent and midnight colours that match the new icon. Windows Setup, the updater and the uninstaller are getting the same identity. The installer tour now shows the current launcher, including the cape gallery.
Your games stay with you
The rename is designed to update existing beta installations in place. Your instances, worlds, settings and downloaded Java runtimes keep their saved locations. Older shortcuts are supported by a small compatibility launcher.
Your existing account stays on the same account service. Because the website has a new domain, you may need to sign in again there with your usual account.
The next beta
The Ecliptic package is being prepared as Beta 6. Until it is published, the Download page continues to offer the currently released beta, whose installer still uses the Eclipse name. We will update the download and release notes when the new package is available.
